Air Force Ball

Matt and I had WONDERFUL time at the ball! It was over the top with fine china, amazing food, dancing and yes a lot of drunk people in the end. We forgot to grab our camera so the people sitting next to us took this shoot and e-mailed it. There was a professional photographer and we did get some taken. They should be arriving shortly and I will post them ASAP. But for now here is the sneak peak.

Nice that the Colonel walked by just at that moment!

Family photos

I really do not like pictures of me but with a family this cute I should not complain.
I hope Kaylee and Matthew always love each other this much!

Have you ever, ever, ever seen anything so adorable? (baby puppies maybe.. but probably not)

You would not have believed we could smile like this on the way to get our pictures done. Lets just say that the day did not run so smoothly. The pictures however, look great. My kids are so very cute. Matthews pic looks like a little missionary. And my pretty princess is growing up way to fast. When I look at these pic I see that I am a very blessed women.

Ring in the New Year

I think this picture is proof that Matt spiked the punch. He looks 3 sheets to the wind.
The lighted blurs are light sabers. The boys are playing Star Wars on the Wii. It was really fun to watch. What a way to bring in the new year, fighting off forces of evil.

Sharron and Tyler

At 11:30 Amie was downing the soda because, come the new year (ie: midnight) she was giving it up. What a girl. Not me Diet Coke is my friend.

More Party People

I hang with a great group of women. I could call anyone of them at any time and they would be there for me, with the added bonus of wow food and amazing Wii skills.

Good bye 2008. Hello 2009!
I was amazed that all the kids made it to midnight. I was sure some of them would be asleep. They loved the noise makers Christie got them, and as the ball dropped it was quite the ruckus.(Kaylee and Cameron)

I love Christie's laugh. I am truly blessed with the friends I have made here.

A Ripstik Christmas

It was so fun to see Matt open this. It was a complete surprise. He had not even asked for it, but Mom gives the coolest gifts. The face he is making is due to his Dad saying that it was a mistake and supposed to go to the "Big Matthew".
It was a little scary at first I was sure by the end of the day we would be in the ER. But Matthew got the hang of it really quick.

What a kid! I have to say he is always impressing me, making me happy and making me laugh!

...and more madness

Kaylee got her first "big girl dolly, not a baby" She loves it. She named her... you guessed it, Kaylee.
I was very happy and surprised (as you can tell) with the GPS Matt gave me.
Matt's mom gave him money but, it was locked inside a maze box. You had to roll the marble through the maze to get out the money. It was great watching him work for his money!

Christmas madness...

These are the new Christmas Pjs.

Kaylee loves her pink hair Santa brought her. "It's Hanna Montana hair mommy!"

Christmas Eve

"Twas the night before Christmas..."
Everyone gets to open a present on Christmas Eve. Kaylee got all the kids a book and signed them all herself! (Merry Christmas love, Kaylee 2008) I was so proud of her by the last book she told me she was not going to write ever again.

When you can't be with family, Friends are the next best thing.

Cookies for Santa

All the kids were so excited to make the perfect cookie for Santa, all except for Anna who just wanted to make the perfect cookie for herself.
Wow, Santa better bring me something really good for this cookie!

All the girls making Kate's secret Christmas turtles. I would love to tell you the recipe but well, then it wouldn't be a secrete would it?

They are all so cute! I could just eat them right up!

Christmas on the river

The Simpson clan beneath the Christmas tree at the Alamo.

All the kids had a great time but it was so cold! Yes, it does get cold in Texas sometimes.

The lights on the Riverwalk are amazing! We took a boat ride and got to sing carols on the river.

Cheese party

I thought it would be fun to have a "wine and cheese" party. I know we don't drink so it was just a little sparkling cider. We had cheese from all over the world. It was wonderful. I think the favorites turned out to be an Irish cheese and a creamy Brie. We also had a white elephant gift exchange. The night was a hit and we all ate to much.

Temple Square

This was Kaylee's first time to see the lights (that she can remember).

Thanksgiving in Utah

We had so much fun on our trip to Utah. We saw the family, ate turkey and played pool. As always grandmas turkey was fabulous and I stink at pool.
